Westmeath County Council has moved quickly to keep the ‘Life Festival’ at Belvedere House Gardens and Park. Earlier this week, Topic received information from a very credible music industry source that the festival promoters were moving the festival to Tullynally Castle in Castlepollard, having agreed terms with the management there. However, we now understand that at the 11th hour they have done a U-Turn and are returning to Belvedere.
Topic understands that a new deal has been struck with the Council which ties the festival to their Lough Ennell showpiece tourism destination for at least another three years. The new dates, as Topic revealed this week, will see the event move back to the June Bank Holiday weekend, which greatly increases its attractiveness to festival goers.
