Midland’s Hospital healthcare worker of 34 years Sandra Lyons is urging people to get their pink on and join her for Mullingar’s Swim in Pink at Lough Owel on Sunday, 13 October at 11am. The event which raises funds and awareness for the National Breast Cancer Research Institute is in its third year but this is the first time it will be held in Mullingar.
Outdoor swimming advocate Sandra started dipping daily in Lough Owel two years ago, three years after her own devastating diagnosis.
