FOUR YEARS building sandcastles (and doing some work too!) in the Middle East is certainly a long time, but that’s exactly how life has panned out for 29-year-old Mullingar man, Pádraig (Podge) Carr, who has been living and working in Abu Dhabi since 2010.
The well-known local, from Burnell Drive, Mullingar, who has a degree in Humanities, Philosophy and Theology and a diploma in Peace Studies set off on his Middle Eastern adventure four years ago with only one ambition in his mind – to see the world.
