On Saturday evening in Killucan GAA grounds Brownstown showed that their recent League 2 final win was not a flash in the pan as they produced some superb scoring power and cohesion in easily dispatching a gutsy but outclassed St Brigid’s.
The Archerstown men picked off points from every angle with five out of their six starting forwards scoring, and they held sway in most positions. From early on it looked as if Brownstown meant business, while St Brigid’s simply could not compete at times, although to their credit they battled to the final whistle admirably.
