Cribbin may be keen on another term

Tom Cribbin’s three-year term as manager officially ended last Saturday evening when the Westmeath senior footballers bowed out of the All-Ireland Qualifiers at TEG Cusack Park, losing to Armagh (1-12 to 1-7) in a fractious encounter.

Cribbin gave mixed soundings after Saturday’s defeat, initially intimating that he may be keen on leading the team into division 3, where some intriguing games await, including a rematch against last Saturday’s opponents. However, he also stated that it’s a massive commitment and he will have to “sit down with the chairman and secretary” to discuss the future.
