Buoyed by a remarkable brace of goals in as many minutes at the start of the game, Fr Dalton’s always looked in control in what proved to be an unexpectedly comfortable win against Ringtown in a fifth and final round robin tie of the Westmeath senior ‘B’ hurling championship last Sunday, played in pleasant conditions at TEG Cusack Park.
With Delvin hanging on for a narrow win over Crookedwood in their match, this result means that both Fr Dalton’s and Ringtown must meet again in the upcoming semi-final, with Delvin awaiting the winners in the Senior B County final.
