TOP talent from around the country and around the world are coming to Mullingar for the 10th Mullingar International Horseshow this June Bank Holiday weekend.
The show, which takes place from Friday, 2 to Monday, 5 June, at Mullingar Equestrian Centre, boasts a lucrative prize fund of €100,000, with 9 international classes and over 60 national classes, ranging from ‘lead rein’ classes for small children all the way up to the infamous Pegus Puissance Big Red Wall.
Alongside the showjumping, there will be family activities with free face painting, pony rides and bouncy castles.
To complement the best of Irish showjumping, Devenish have put together a menu, with local chef David Smyth offering the best of Irish cuisine in the hospitality tent over the weekend.
Speaking ahead of the show, show director Robert Fagan said: “We are delighted to be going ahead with the 10th International Horseshow. We strive to keep the standard high each year and give riders, horses and ponies an opportunity to gain experience in international standard competitions, which is important for the development of their careers. The wide range of classes ensures there is something for everyone, from the under 10 ‘Mullingar Futures Stars’ 128 Championship all the way up to the best of showjumping competition in the International Grand Prix.”
There is free admission for all on Friday and Saturday, with a charge of €10 for adults and no charge for children on Sunday and Monday.
