Over one hundred primary schoolgoers from Edmonton National School (NS), Loughegar NS, St Brigid’s School & The Downs NS attended a Health and Safety Authority ‘Keep Safe’ event at The Downs GAA Club in Mullingar, with pupils from the two most senior classes in each school attending.
A range of state agencies and organisations came together to deliver the ‘Keep Safe’ programme which is directed at 5th and 6th class pupils in the school. It aims to promote safety and community awareness through involving the children in a series of interactive scenarios with a strong safety theme.
