Tang created a major shock in the opening round of the Senior Football Championship at Moate GAA grounds on Sunday evening last. The 2023 finalists Coralstown-Kinnegad were expected to get their campaign off to a winning start but instead were stunned when Tang scored a late goal. It proved to be the only score from play by the men in Maroon and White who were not showing any side effects following relegation in the League.
The opening half can be quickly forgotten about with just a single point from play spread over the half hour. There were just five scores in total as Coralstown-Kinnegad went off with a narrow lead.
