An announcement that up to 1,000 new jobs, many of them full time positions, will shortly become available in the Longford-Westmeath area amounts to major good news for the north midlands. And last Thursday’s (31 May) confirmation by the CEO of Center Parcs Martin Dalby at a media briefing on site at Newcastle Forest that recruitment of staff will get under way before the end of 2018, gave clear indications of just how big an impact the massive €233m Center Parcs development is going to have.
