Tyrrellspass man Thomas Maher appeared on First Dates Ireland last Thursday, 9 March, after somehow sitting through his audition last year with a burst gallbladder and still making the final cut for the show.
The illness may have been a bad omen for Tom as he didn’t find love with his match, Regina from Mayo, but he told the Topic that it was a great experience, nonetheless.
