St Loman’s second team caused something of a surprise when they defeated Killucan’s first team by three points to win this All County Football League Division 3 final in TEG Cusack Park, last Saturday evening.
While both sides were minus a number of their regular players, this effectively saw a junior team beating a senior championship team. It must be said that St Loman’s fully deserved this win. They led by 1-3 to 0-0 after 13 minutes and by 1-5 to 0-2 at half time.
