Uisneach Visitor Centre nonimated for an Irish Architecture Award

The new visitor centre at Uisneach has been nominated for an Irish Architecture Award and the team at the Hill are now asking for your help to win the coveted title.

One of the most enduring legends of Uisneach is that it was the location for the first great fire to be lit in Ireland. To usher in the first dawn of summer, the Uisneach hearth burned brightest of all and hearths were extinguished in every Irish home, in anticipation of a new flame from Uisneach’s fire.
