Plans for the new Mullingar Regional Sports Complex moved a step closer after the Government announced €2 million grants towards design costs for the project.
The funding, announced on Monday, 4 November and is being organised in parallel with the Large Scale Sport Infrastructure Fund, was allocated to assist the swimming pool project in Mullingar, which according to the Department of Sport, “has been done given the strategic importance of developing swimming pool infrastructure, in line with the recently-published National Swimming Strategy.”
