A lover of travel who enjoyed the simple life. A music guru but never a music snob. An intelligent, well-read man but never, ever aloof. This was how Aidan (Muggs) Mulligan was remembered at his funeral service in The Cathedral of Christ the King last Monday, 17 February, by Fr Norman Allred, celebrant and friend.
Formerly of Lynn Road, Mullingar, Aidan – who was 60 – passed away on Thursday morning, 13 February, at Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore, after a short illness.
Aidan’s love of life was reflected in the gifts offered in his name: a travel guide, The Irish Times crossword, an LP album cover, an Electric Picnic Lanyard, a novel, a Manchester City jersey and Marley coffee beans.
