It was a case of ohh so close for Milltown! …An outstanding effort by Milltown ladies almost resulted in a major upset, but in the end the Dublin and Leinster club champions Kilmacud Crokes held on for a narrow two-point win in this Ladies Leinster Senior Club Football Championship semi- final played in Sean Doolin Memorial Park, Milltown, last Sunday afternoon.

The Milltown ladies were never out of this game and they battled and fought and pressed their more illustrious opponents all the way. Despite conceding a penalty and a rather soft goal, the Milltown ladies were only three points down at half time and trailed by just 0-6 to 2-3.
