Castletown-Geoghegan came within inches of reaching the senior county final last Sunday. All eyes were fixed on Castletown’s Niall O’Brien as he took a last minute free. With the sides level, O’Brien’s injury time free from 48 metres out on the left wing, in front of the stand, was extremely close, but it was narrowly wide, to the disappointment of all the Castletown players and supporters.
