The phrase – ‘this cup tie had everything’ is often branded about but it was never more appropriate than to describe this Paddy Cotter Cup quarter-final tie in Gainstown last Friday evening.
This very tense cup-tie produced three goals, a penalty, loads of yellow cards, red cards, plenty of talking points and at one stage, in a bizare scene of events the referee put all of the spectators outside the perimeter fencing of the pitch.
