Westmeath GAA have selected a sub-committee to find a new Westmeath senior football manager following an online Westmeath GAA County Committee meeting held on Wednesday evening last, 14 August.
Speaking at the meeting County Chairman Frank Mescall said, “We have arrived at the situation where we need a new Westmeath senior football manager. Sadly we have arrived at this situation. I didn’t think we would be in this position. As you all know by now. Dessie (Dolan) has decided to step down. He feels that after three years commitment – one when he was a selector and two as manager, that is enough for him at this current time.
