The preferred option for the N4 Mullingar to Longford (Roosky) update project has been announced by Westmeath County Council.
Announced in conjunction with Longford County Council, and supported by Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII), the larger route differences between the current N4 road, and the announced preferred option would be in the Longford side of the border.
