The concession of four goals and some missed frees led to Westmeath losing this Allianz National Hurling League Division 1B game to Laois in TEG Cusack Park, Mullingar last Sunday afternoon.
Coming into this contest, this was a game that both sides really needed to win. Both teams were pointless at the bottom of the table and with Carlow having shocked Waterford they had moved ahead on the table with two league points. So it was a must win game for Seoirse Bulfin’s side.
