The death has been announced of former Taoiseach and Longford-Westmeath TD, Albert Reynolds. He was 81.
Mr Reynolds’s eldest son Philip confirmed that his father had passed away peacefully at 2.52am this morning with his wife, Kathleen, and family by his side.
