Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to an incident in Grange Crescent, Mullingar to come forward and help them with their enquiries.
On Wednesday of last week, 26 March, at 12.30 an object was thrown through the rear window of a vehicle and an accelerant was used to set the vehicle on fire.
Emergency services attended the scene and the fire was brought under control.
The Gardaí are treating the incident as a matter of criminal damage.
