Heffernan’s penalty-save proves crucial as Na Piarsaigh reach county final

Na Piarsaigh’s Under 20 hurlers overcame a very determined challenge from Castletown-Geoghegan with just two points to spare to progress to the final after a very entertaining and competitive semi-final clash at Decotek Park, Collinstown last Sunday afternoon.

It was very much the calm after Storm Darragh before a very well-attended Decotek Park and the well wrapped-up hardy souls, who braved the elements, were also treated to a superbly contested game between two well-matched teams in the blinding sunshine before the hosts just about held out for a deserved victory.
