Dozens attended the launch of Cian’s Kennels at Midlands Regional Hospital last Friday, 11 April in a show of support for the animal-assisted therapy service newly-provided for children recovering from illness.
Ireland’s first mobile pet therapy service has been heralded as a life-changing initiative for paediatric patients like LJ Kiernan, a two-year-old boy who found comfort and companionship with Walter, a trained therapy dog, in Crumlin Hospital.
