James Crombie, the Westmeath photographer who received international attention for his photographs of the Lough Ennell starling murmurations, became AIB’s Press Photographer of the Year for a third time last Friday, 28 February.
Speaking to Topic, he mentioned that this year’s win was special compared to the back-to-back wins 2021 and 2022 where, because of Covid restrictions, there was no-one in attendance.
