Joe Dolan’s brother, Ben, has spoken of his pride as signage for the new Joe Dolan Road was erected on Monday, 24 February.
The new official name, named after one of Mullingar’s most famous musical exports, is for the road between Jail Hill and Blackhall. The idea to name the road after Joe Dolan was first brought up at a Mullingar Kinnegad District meeting in February 2024, in a motion from Cllr Michael Dollard.
