The Johnstown Estate in Enfield, took home the gold as Ireland’s best Business & Conference Hotel and silver for Ireland’s Four-Star Hotel Spa Experience at the 2024 Gold Medal Awards.
The prestigious awards took place on Tuesday, 28 January at The Galmont Hotel & Spa in Galway, at a gala event hosted by Anton Savage. Now in its 35th year, the Virgin Media Business Gold Medal Awards are celebrated as the leading independent awards programme for the Irish hospitality sector. Judged by industry experts, they highlight and honour the outstanding achievements of hospitality and catering operations across the island of Ireland, with only the very best in the industry crowned winners.
The Johnstown Estate’s recognition as Ireland’s best business & conference hotel is particularly fitting for the four-star hotel and spa following the recent unveiling of its state-of-the-art standalone conference centre, The Forde Suites. Developed with an investment exceeding €9 million, The Forde Suites opened late last year, and serves as an impressive, versatile conference space capable of accommodating gatherings of up to 1,000 attendees.
