“Completely inspirational” are the only words that can really accurately describe Joanne O’Riordan and her incredible success and achievements at just 22 years old.

Cork native Joanne O’Riordan, a sports journalist who contributes to the Irish Times, is one of just seven people born with the condition Tetra-amelia syndrome, a very rare disorder characterised by the absence of all four limbs.

However, her condition has not stopped her from reaching the top of her profession, travelling the world and accomplishing anything else that she has set her mind to do.
