Margaret Conroy, the oldest woman in the Kilbeggan parish, celebrated her 100th birthday among lifelong friends and family last Friday.
The centenarian was delighted to receive the Centenarian Bounty, which includes a personal letter containing birthday wishes from President Michael D. Higgins and the traditional €2,540 gift from the State.
