Ukrainian refugees based in Kinnegad have become “browbeaten, dejected and downhearted” at the prospect of being relocated to Athlone, with a twice-postponed decision due to be made this week.
Kinnegad-based, Cllr Denis Leonard appealed to national authorities to reject any idea to move 42 Ukrainians living in Kinnegad, telling Topic that relocating Ukrainians would be “doubly traumatising.”
