“Kinnegad is Westmeath’s ‘front cover’ and it’s important that the County Council works to ensure that it represents the county in the best possible way.”
That view was expressed by Cllr. Michael Dollard (non-party) when the local authority’s Housing, Community, Corporate and Culture Strategic Policy Committee (SPC) met this week and welcomed a report by Mary Stuart, the county’s Librarian.
Ms. Stuart highlighted a recent decision to allocate €7.6 million for Kinnegad Regeneration, grant assistance which will benefit the town’s library, Longford Westmeath Education Training Board (LWETB) training centre, a town park, playground and outdoor events area.
