Plans are set to be lodged for the construction of a large-scale data centre close to Rochfortbridge. A pre-application consultation with An Bord Pleanála has been submitted to develop a giant 250-megawatt (MW) data centre, which is being touted as having a €1 billion price tag.
The application was submitted by Red Admiral DC, whose chief executive is Nigel Reams, the Lumcloon founder.
