Last-gasp glory as Keogh’s late goal clinches All-Ireland title for Westmeath u16 girls

Niamh Keogh was the Westmeath heroine as she fired home a late, late goal to give the Westmeath under 16 girls a sensational victory as they clinched the All-Ireland Under 16 ‘C’ Camogie title in dramatic circumstances at St Brendan’s Park, Birr on Sunday afternoon last.

Westmeath seemed destined for defeat, in this extremely low scoring final, until Keogh gathered a long delivery from Holly Dowdall and fired to the net from close range, sending the Westmeath players and supporters ecstatic at the prospect of snatching the title at the death.
