Road safety remains one of the most pressing topics for local representatives who tabled multiple suggestions on the matter during the December meeting of the Mullingar–Kinnegad Municipal District on Monday, 9 December.
Cllr Denis Leonard asked the District to examine the Killucan Road junction in Kinnegad. Three estates intersect at this point and Cllr Leonard said there is an “urgent need” for a roundabout here. He said this should be provided “with a view to the ultimate opening of an access road”. This would ease “considerable traffic” through Kinnegad’s main street according to Cllr Leoanrd.
