A Mullingar-based tou-rist guide has criticised the British Home Office’s introduction of the Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) — a travel permit which authorises a tourist to enter the UK, including Northern Ireland.
Ken Delaney, a tourist guide for ‘Escape to Ireland’ and founder of the Mullingar Hiking Group, told Topic that he cannot foresee his tours being impacted by the introduction of the digital travel permit given that they’re aimed at American and Canadian tourists who are already dedicating a lot of time and research to their travel.
