It was a good weekend for some football clubs, not so good for others, while amidst all the comings and goings, Kevin Maguire, Westmeath’s Mr Dependable retired from the Inter-County scene.

A lot has changed since Kevin Maguire first pulled on a Westmeath jersey 14 years ago. The game of Gaelic Football has lost some of its excitement and magic, and that was clearly evident by some of the games fans would have witnessed in TEG Cusack Park over the weekend, or at several other venues around the County for that matter.
