A new Lough Ennell 10-year Catchment Management Plan was publicly launched at Bloomfield House Hotel, Mullingar on Wednesday, 29 January, by a partnership of agencies with special interests in such vital issues as water quality, ecology, preservation of wildlife, having been advanced, from a visioning event in 2022.
The 2022 vision, pursued since then, put forward a long-term common goal “to protect and enhance the wonderful amenity we have on our doorstop and sustainably manage it so that future generations can benefit from a healthy lake catchment.”
