Madden’s late winner sees Moate CS advance after great battle against Clane

It was Moate Community School who were left ‘singing in the rain’ as they defeated Scoil Mhuire Clane by a solitary point in this Leinster Colleges Senior Football ‘A’ Championship preliminary quarter-final game played in Moate CS grounds last Thursday afternoon.

This keenly contested game was played in horrendous weather conditions and it is a credit to both sets of players and referee Enda Kenny that they managed to get through the 60 minutes.
