A Mullingar man had a very lucky escape from serious injury after he was forced to leap out of the way of a speeding car. And this week, he spoke to Topic, saying he felt the issue of reckless driving needs to be highlighted.
Early on Saturday morning last, 27 April, the four young occupants of a car, which apparently went out of control approaching the Dublin Bridge, Mullingar, were fortunate not to have gone into the Royal Canal, when the vehicle crossed the road and demolished the pole holding traffic lights.
