A goal in the last minute of the first half by Ian Martin proved crucial as The Downs overcame Coralstown-Kinnegad by a solitary point in this Westmeath Senior Football Championship semi final played in TEG Cusack Park, last Saturday afternoon.
Martin’s goal arrived seconds after Kinnegad had struck the crossbar at the other end – such are the fine margins that divide games.
