The death took place on Sunday morning last, February 9 of Mullingar’s oldest citizen, (as far as we are aware), Mary Nea of “Sunnyside”, Lynn, Mullingar, who died at the Inny Unit, Cluain Lir Care Centre, Mullingar just two days after her 101st birthday.
Born on 7 February 1924, Mary became a centenarian a year ago, a quietly unnoticed milestone, after she had outlived so many contemporaries.
