A devastated Killucan mother is calling for urgent action following the news that her autistic son has received no appropriate secondary school place.
Nathan Kelly has been a pupil of the special Tir na nÓg Autism unit at St Joseph’s NS, Rathwire since junior infants. He has always been supported in his socialisation, learning and integration there but this is about to change as he hasn’t been approved to secure a place in a secondary school with an ASD unit. This will be very bad for him, according to his mother Catriona, who shared how she discovered the news.
