Local public representatives have called for an increase in the number of Gardaí stationed in Mullingar, in light of a report which has revealed that the station’s staffing levels drop by 24 staff in 2024, one of the largest decreases in the country.
Data revealed by the Irish Independent showed that only Cavan, Anglesea Street in Cork and Dundalk had a larger decrease of Gardaí numbers than Mullingar.
