RTÉ has announced the appointment of Sharon Tobin as a permanent presenter of the RTÉ Six One News.
Based outside Mullingar, the journalist joins David McCullagh on the presenting team for RTÉ’s flagship news programme. Ray Kennedy was also appointed as a permanent presenter of the Nine O’Clock News on rotation with Sharon Ní Bheoláin.
