A freedom of information request submitted by Ireland South MEP Cynthia Ní Mhurchú has revealed that €842,000 in unpaid fines accrued in the past five years is owed to Mullingar District Court.
MEP Ní Mhurchú said that the offenders were “laughing at the court system” and should be made to disclose their bank details immediately after being found guilty.
