Westmeath County Council and the National Transport Authority (NTA) are working together to introduce a town bus service to Mullingar to support the sustainable and compact growth of the town, enable its development potential and provide a public-transport option for residents and visitors.
This proposed bus service would provide two direct routes connecting all four corners of the Town with the Town Centre, serving all main destinations with over 75% of the town’s population within 400m of a bus stop. It would utilise existing infrastructure where possible.
