Castletown-Geoghegan native, Archbishop of Dublin, Dermot Farrell, has said the world “might be in for a surprise” with the selected Pope ahead of the papal conclave.
The papal conclave is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, 7 May, and will see cardinals elect a new Pope of the Catholic Church after the death of Pope Francis on Monday, 21 April. A two-thirds majority (90) of the 136 Cardinals under the age of 80 is required for a Pope to be chosen.
