Kilbeggan woman Kate O’Connell failed to take a seat in Dublin Bay South last weekend.
A daughter of former Fine Gael councillor, Michael Newman, O’Connell was eliminated on Count 5, pulling in just 1,772 first-preference votes – far short of the quota of 7,957.
