St Patrick’s Day got off to a running start this week as over 1,500 people from across Ireland and further afield, took part in the AON Mullingar half-marathon that saw a new record set for the competition.
There were 1,800 entries for the event overall which took place on a fine, mild day with a slight breeze, close to ideal conditions for the race, which has taken place in rather unforgiving conditions some years.
